The MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC 16GB GDDR7 is a new MSI graphics card built on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, with 16 GB GDDR7 of dedicated video memory. It is built for 4K gaming with ray tracing turned on, and for heavy creative work such as 3D rendering, high-resolution video editing and local AI tools.
About this card
The MSI Gaming Trio line uses a three-fan cooler with RGB lighting. GeForce RTX 50 Series cards use the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. In supported games they can use DLSS 4, including Multi Frame Generation, along with hardware ray tracing. For creators, they support CUDA-accelerated apps and NVIDIA Studio drivers, and the built-in NVENC encoder handles AV1 video.
Check before you order
- Size: 338 x 140 x 50 mm. Compare the length with the maximum GPU length your case allows, leaving room for front fans or a radiator.
- Slot width: 2.5-Slot. The card covers the slots below its own, so check that it will not block a card or M.2 heatsink you need.
- Power connectors: 1 x 16-pin (ATX 3.1 PSU recommended). Make sure your power supply has the right cables, or use the adapter supplied with the card.
- Power supply: 850 W or more is recommended for a typical system with this card.
- Motherboard slot: PCI Express Gen 5. The card also works in older PCIe x16 slots, at slightly lower bandwidth.
- Display outputs: 3x DisplayPort 2.1b, 1x HDMI 2.1b. Plan your monitor cables around these ports.
