Oureja LLC (“Oureja”, “we”, “us”) operates ouredja.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who is responsible for your data

Who we share information with
We share only what is necessary, only with providers who help us operate the store, and only under contracts that require them to protect your data. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- Print and fulfilment partner. Because each planner is printed to order, your name and shipping address are transmitted to our print-on-demand and fulfilment provider, Lulu Press, Inc., so your book can be manufactured and dispatched. They receive no payment information.
- Payment processor. Handles card authorisation and settlement, and is PCI-DSS certified.
- Shipping carriers. USPS, UPS, FedEx or similar receive your name, address and contact details in order to deliver your parcel and provide tracking.
- Website hosting and infrastructure. Our host stores the site and its database on secure servers.
- Email and analytics providers. Used to send transactional email and to understand aggregate site usage.
- Professional advisers and authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose information, or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Strictly necessary cookies, which make the cart, checkout and login work. The site cannot function without these.
- Functional cookies, which remember preferences such as your session.
- Analytics cookies, which tell us in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal; where required by law we honour recognised opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
How long we keep information
- Order and transaction records: retained for 7 years to meet accounting, tax and audit obligations.
- Support correspondence: retained for up to 3 years after the enquiry is resolved.
- Account data: retained until you ask us to close the account.
- Marketing lists: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: retained in aggregated or de-identified form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your personal information, subject to records we must legally retain
- Opt out of marketing at any time
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise a right, email contact@ouredja.com with the request and the email address used on your order. We respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity before acting, which protects you against someone else requesting your data.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the rights listed above, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of information described above, for the business purposes described above. We have not sold personal information and have not shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
Marketing emails
We send marketing email only to people who have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Transactional emails about an order you placed, such as confirmations and shipping notices, are not marketing and are sent regardless.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The entire site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Payment data is handled by a PCI-DSS certified processor and never touches our servers. Access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to fulfil orders and provide support. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take these safeguards seriously and review them regularly.
Data location
Our website and order data are stored on servers located in the United States. Our service providers may process data in other countries; where they do, they are required to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy.
Third-party links
This site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revision date below always reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated on this page.
